What We Do

Recapty is a spoiler-free reading companion app that helps readers pick up books they've put down — without rereading chapters or losing their place. Users mark where they stopped, and Recapty generates a personalized recap of only what they've read so far.

The Problem

Nearly 1 in 3 readers never finish a book they start*. Readers who take breaks (whether it’s days, weeks, or months) lose track of characters, plot threads, and context. Existing solutions (Google, Wikipedia, summary sites) spoil the ending or are too vague to help. Re-reading is tedious. Most readers just abandon the book entirely.

Target Audience

Adult fiction readers who read intermittently — busy professionals, parents, anyone who reads in short sessions and struggles to maintain continuity. Our library focuses on the most commonly abandoned fiction titles across literary and genre fiction.

The Product

Recapty is a native iOS app currently in Founding Members launch. The app is fully functional with a library of 49 titles spanning literary and genre fiction.

Users select a book, mark their reading position, and receive an AI-generated, spoiler-free recap personalized to exactly where they stopped — no more, no less.
